Gentle Yoga Stretch & Strengthen – 7:00 pm
This class is a gentle yoga class. This yoga class is designed to stretch our muscles and work on flexibility with slow sustained lengthening of the muscles. We also work on strength where we use repeated muscle contractions until the muscle becomes tired. This class is a more Yin style class where most of our poses are on the ground. Often times we will design this class to include props and be a restorative therapeutic yoga style as well. Therapeutic yoga incorporates our breathe, hand gestures, vocal tones and gentle movement as well as working with the nervous system. All of our classes incorporate teaching from a trauma – sensitive yoga class.
